Want to live to 100? Try These Foods

If you want to live to see the century mark in years, there may be some help in the things you decide to eat! Of course it is important that you regularly exercise and get plenty of rest. Though this article deals with giving some healthy eating tips, stress and genetics have a great deal to do with how long you will live.

According to Health.com, you should never skimp on the vegetables. You should eat five fruits and vegetables every day. These will help to greatly reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke, and even cancer.

Eat Yogurt that has pro-biotics. This is currently a focus of research for immune-boosting foods for the body.

Eating fish a few times per week for dinner will help. Oily fish like salmon are full of Omega-3 fatty acids which are known to help reduce inflammation, which over time may cause disease.

Eat Nuts! Every day have a snack of nuts like pistachios and walnuts to help battle heart disease. Because nuts can be high in oils, you should not go crazy, but certainly add them to your daily regiment of foods you consume.

Get at least 25 grams of fiber every day. You can do this easily by eating veggies, fruits, and whole grains.  A high-fiber diet can lower your risk of developing many diseases which plague Americans.

If you follow these healthy eating tips, you are on your way to being healthier and thus, statistically speaking, more apt to live a lot longer!
