Vintage Faucets and Plumbing

I decided to write this post about Vintage Faucets and Plumbing because I had a difficult time finding what I was looking for. I searched all kinds of sites on the web and read lots of blog posts but my vintage eye wasn’t satisfied.

I love all things old, antique, vintage, classic, used. Anything my grandparents or even my parents owned is sentimental  to me. There is so much purpose and beauty of design in every thing that was made in our past. I believe that is why every fad comes back in style, because it was good the first time around.

I love the shabby chic look because literally anything goes. Any collection of eclectic items can be displayed and used and there is no condemnation for lack of design style. It you love it display it, if it works use it!

Antique and real vintage plumbing is very difficult to find. Once it is found it may be to fragile to use and is best displayed as a part of the home decor. When you just have to have the vintage style faucet and the exposed plumbing, let your fingers take you to the leader in Vintage Faucets and Plumbing.  The Tub Connection will hook you up!

Classic Telephone, british telephone, vintage faucet

On the website you will find the British Telephone or Classic Telephone style faucet. They are true replicas of those original styles that the greats of old had in their homes.  They truly look amazing on the edge of a clawfoot tub.  A very glamorous pairing indeed! In the online showroom displayed with the Telephone faucet is a Gooseneck or English Telephone Faucet. This may sound like a more modern style, but when you see it with the hand held sprayer you can see why it is still considered a vintage style faucet.

Most Vintage Style Clawfoot Tubs are very deep and hold a lot of water, so if you have one, a British Telephone Faucet might work best for you since they pour 10 gallons of water per minute into your tub. An English Telephone fills the tub quickly with 6 gallons of water per minute. Either way a vintage style is the way to go.

I suppose in the old days chrome was the probably the only faucet finish that could be purchase. Today, these vintage style faucets are available in the most popular finishes like Brushed or Satin Nickel, Oil Rubbed Bronze and of course, highly Polished Chrome and Polished Brass.

If you are like me and you like to continue the vintage style into every room, take a look at the Vintage Faucets and Plumbing available on The Tub Connection. They will ship for free.
