“It’s amazing the impact a few coats of paint and a light fixture can have. After that, it was time to get into the big renovation projects.“ Rachel and Nisar Kleiman were hooked as soon as they saw the 1880s Victorian house in Champaign, Illinois. The house had ornate oak trim and flooring, and original 19th-century brass hardware, along with a gorgeous emerald and ruby exterior. However, it was also in serious need of some upgrades, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. Rachel and Nisar took their design inspiration from the emerald and ruby exterior color scheme and did a complete overhaul of theme electrical and lighting systems.
