If you’ve been following our posts, you’ll know that one of my all time favorite things to do is DIY and “go junkin’ ” which means I love to go to thrift stores and yard sales to see what kind of treasures I can find. I also love to repurpose. I enjoy the challenge of taking something that people usually see one way and using it in a completely different capacity. For example, I have a ladder hanging up sideways and flat against the wall to use as shelves. I have mason jars that I use as picture frames and in those jars I have twigs, common twigs that I cut off of our tree in our back yard as an “arrangement”. They look wonderful and people often comment by saying “wow, I never would have thought to do that, what a great idea!” Turning trash to treasure is one of my favorite past times.
I enjoyed looking through this post and seeing all of the ‘common’ things turned into something spectacular. Mr. Sthole is going to build our retirement house and I can’t wait to use some of the ideas that they had for concrete work and wall decor. Follow the link below to learn more.
