Unless you eat 100% of your meals, you have probably already realized the simple but great importance of your kitchen’s set-up. The majority of the time at home is spent either cooking or entertaining, which gives you an idea of how frustrating a bad kitchen space is (as if you did not know that yourself!).
There are 4 basic set-ups: the U-shaped, the L-shaped, the G-shaped, and the gallery. All are common, though the U shaped tends to be the most common, and all can be adapted for your preferences. For example, just because you have a U-shaped kitchen does not mean you can’t have an island installed – it might be just the way to add storage and counter tops by taking up a bit of that empty floor space.
