Steps to Stripping Wallpaper

Looking to get rid of your wallpaper? Then you need this post. Here are the basic things you’ll need for this job:

• polythene dust sheets
• bucket
• decorator’s sponge
• wallpaper scorer or craft knife
• wallpaper stripping knife

Once you have everything you need, there are 4 basic steps:

1. Spread the dust sheets on the floor.
2. Score the wallpaper – make sure not to go too deep and score the wall.
3. Wet the wall with hot water and washing up liquid. Rub with sponge.
4. Strip the wallpaper. Again, don’t dig into the wall itself. If it’s not coming up easily, repeat step 3.
