If you just bought a console sink, you may need these steps to understand how to install it. Keep reading to find out how to do a solid DIY job of it.
Tip: For a proper install that will last, anchor the console sink to studs or solid wood blocking in the wall.
Tools:
- A towel
- A pencil
- A handdrill
- A level
- A screwdriver
- Silicon sealant
- A damp cloth
The steps:
- Assemble the sink stand and rest it against the wall. Make sure it’s level.
- Attach the first side to the wall. Check to be sure the sink stand is still level.
- Attach the second side.
- Prepare the countertop by placing it upside down on a towel.
- Put the sink basin on the counter and draw an outline where it should go.
- Put silicon sealant on the lip of the basin and carefully place it on the counter.
- Tighten the wing bolts on the basin and let it dry.
- Once dry, place on the sink stand.
