Do you have a bathtub with a shower head? Then you most likely have a shower diverter that diverts the water flow from the bathtub spout to the shower head. If one day you find that the water doesn’t divert to the shower head well anymore, it might be time to replace the diverter, and perhaps the whole tub spout. The process of replacing these is simple and relatively cheap. In fact, with the right instructions and tools, you may be able to complete the task yourself without calling in a professional plumber.
For instructions, check out this article posted on bobvila.com called “Bob Vila Radio: Replacing a Shower Diverter“. If you ever find yourself having to shower under the bathtub spout, these instructions might come in handy!
