If you’re like most people, when you’re doing your bathroom renovations, you’re looking to add more bathroom storage. Bathroom storage is a limited and important thing – we’d all prefer to be able to keep all the hygienics in that space. Oftentimes, though, there just doesn’t seem to be any room left, between the bathtub, the shower, the toilet, and the vanity set.
This post, we want to help you with this common problem by going over some of the potential solutions. We also want to go beyond that to optimize your bathroom storage in couple ways involving its decor.
Door Shelving/Pull-Out Bin
These are well-known and fairly basic tips, but adding shelves to the door and roll out drawers or bins to your closet can make use every inch of space available. For door shelves, they can be used to hold your smaller toiletries, and they’ll keep you organized better than you ever have before. Pull-out bins and drawers make it easier to access stuff that would otherwise be crammed in the back, inaccessible unless you pull out everything before it. They also allow you to not leave any access space on top, maximizing your space in another way.
Pegboard
Implementing pegboard into your cabinet storage is another way to make use of wasted space. This small cabinet manages to story many times what it could have without it, even fairly bulky things like a hair dryer that is normal relegated to a drawer. Another smart idea was to include an outlet for easy use of electronics store in the cabinet.
Built-In Cabinet
This implementation of a built-in cabinet is a fine example of maintaining the bathroom decor and maximizing space. By opting for a built-in rather than free-standing cabinet, this homeowner was able to make use of storage space in the corner without infringing on floor space.
Sectioned-Off Cabinet
If your problem is not more storage space but more storage places, making two cabinets out of one space may be the solution. This will give you more places so your hygienics are optimally organized.
Under-the-Sink Shelves
This ingenious idea takes the ugly under mount plumbing and molds itself around it in a beautiful way. Make the most of your under-the-sink space by install custom drawers that don’t interfere with your pipes, but give you access to otherwise wasted space.
Backlit Cabinet
One neat idea that could improve you bathroom decor is to install backlights to some cabinets. This can highlight see-through containers and create a luxurious glow to you bathroom. It is especially suited for contemporary and modern bathroom designs.
Fold-Up Medicine Mirror
Last but not least, the fold-up medicine cabinet mirror is a neat take on the vanity mirror. By folding up the mirror, you can have a bigger medicine cabinet (can you imagine folding that out?) – and you get style points!
We hope you can better optimize your bathroom storage after reading through this post. We’ll see you next time!
