Who says the kitchen has to be the boring room of the house, next in line with the bathroom for having functionality usurp style. One chef and bartender couple decided that they were having none of that when it came time to give their sinking kitchen a literal and a style boost.
The couple kept the white laminate cabinetry they had, but punched the view up exceedingly with a gorgeous sea-blue ceiling and walls, plus a really fun penny tile backsplash. Upping the fun factor, did not mean losing any of the functionality, as the couple opted for a funky-mod school-cafeteria inspired dining area, with boldly orange chairs. An open bookcase, resting atop the new quartz countering, holds some attractive dishware and cookbooks. There’s even cutaway sections in the cabinetry for a playful look within.
