It is an ideal situation when both individuals in a couple decide it is time to go on a weight loss campaign. Think of the encouragement you’ll give and get from one another. When one is weak the other is strong and can help us through those moments when we struggle to strive toward the weight loss goal.
If you are sneaking snacks and cheating on the diet you aren’t helping each other. Here are some tips on assuring that both of you are achieving the goal and helping one another:
- Respect each others work out schedule. Remember you aren’t clones, so you won’t do everything the same and at the same time.
- Don’t stock up on goodies and treats to keep on hand because they might be too much of a temptation for you and others. Decide together to only keep and eat nutritious snacks and meals.
- Be sure to choose healthy restaurants, and if possible, take a look at the menu online and decide what you are going to have so you are’t tempted by the sights and smells when you get there.
- Be supportive of the time it takes to get healthy. If one of you has to stop by the fitness center at different times, it’s okay.
