My dad was born during the depression, as a result of his parents having very little money, he always had to wear dungarees or jeans that were too big for him. They would buy them big so that, as he grew he could wear the pants longer than the next growth spurt. His pant legs always had to be rolled up, which he hated. To this day, my dad won’t wear pants with cuffs and certainly will not purposely roll up a too long pant legs, he will just cut it off.
Today, we live in a time where fashion is king and anything goes.
