When you window gets raggedy beyond repair, it’s time to replace it. Upgrading on windows can save on energy costs by better insulating your home. To find out how to replace a window, read below and watch the video.
First you have to pry out the old window, including the storm screen. Once you’ve got it out, put in some extra insulation to help keep your energy bills down. Now put you need to caulk around the edges to seal against water.
Put in your new window. Screw it in with 2″ stainless steel screws, then caulk in the edge and install the ancillary pieces like the window sill and frame.
