Wall mirrors can easily break if not handled correctly. In the interest of keeping your mirrors whole and not triggering any superstitious bad luck, this post covers how to safely remove and move a mirror.
First, make sure you’re protected in case it does break. Lay lots of duct tape over the mirror, which will keep the shards together. Also wear eye protection, gloves, and long sleeves for extra safety.
As for how to get the mirror off, you’ll need vacuum cups, which you can get from your local hardware store. Attach the cups securely to the mirror at places that will be good for handholds. Then, carefully pry off the wall mirror, supporting it so it doesn’t fall off suddenly. Once it is off, gently move it, and try not to bend it so as not to break it.
