Meagan Blau began her design career out of necessity. She has a spinal cord injury that has changed her life. She has been using a wheel chair for the last ten years. Accessibility is key in her designs as she needs to be able to maneuver around her home. Functionality is key, but so is a modern design. She needed to make her new home into something that would fit her needs. She doesn’t follow all of the nation’s accessibility standards though. Her home is designed to fit her needs and what she wants.
