Give this a try, every first Saturday of the month for the past several years, I have taken my three youngest children to the Home Depot Learning Workshop. This child-friendly workshop is perfect for kids of all ages. It’s pretty neat for adults too.
Learning is Fun
During the workshops, children get to use simple tools (hammer, screwdriver,…) to create, that they can later paint at home or put to some use.
At our local Home Depot (I live in a small town of about 17,000 people) my children have made pencil holders, birdhouses, fire trucks, flower planters as well as countless other things. It’s just a great way to help your kids learn basics in building things plus it gives you some quality time together.
Free Memories
This program has been going on for a while and is good for business. The funny thing to see is all the dads and moms often getting as involved in these mini-projects as their kids. Be sure to check one out in your area soon. I think you will really like it.
Free Kids Workshops to Learn, Create & Craft at The Home Depot.
Home Depot does a great job with kids. I think it is so funny to see the dads do as much work as the kids.
