Extend Your Garden's Growing Season With This DIY Project

If you live in an erratic or unforgiving climate for vegetables and flowers, growing a garden can be a difficult and discouraging task. What you may need is a cold frame. A cold frame is a kind of window you cover your garden beds with when it is, as the name implies. cold outside. This acts as a mini greenhouse by insulating the heat and moisture while still allowing through sunshine. What’s even better about the cold frame is that you can build it yourself! All you need is an old window and some rot-resistant wood so you can get going. Also, be sure that your garden is south facing to allow for maximum sunshine.
