Faucets can easily be fixed with a little know-how. Take these steps to diagnose and treat your faucet problems today!
- If your faucet isn’t running, make sure the shut-off valves are open.
- To see if water is reaching the bleeder valve, loosen it.
- Clean the aerator on the spout.
- Putting the aerator back in, see if water now flows.
- If it’s still not running, close the shut-off valves.
- Take off the faucet spout with pliers.
- Take out the diverter valve.
- Check the cold-water handle by opening its shut-off valve and turning it on.
- Put the diverter and spout back on.
- Open the hot-water valve as well as the cold-water.
- Test again to make sure water’s flowing.
