This wreath chandelier caught my eye as I was looking through projects and I’m positive it’ll do the same for your guests. This will add a “wow” factor to your dinner table and will be sure to impress your holiday visitors when they visit your home.
Hang this beautiful double wreath from the ceiling to add a classic bit of holiday cheer to your home. This wreath chandelier is one of the Christmas craft ideas we have for the holiday season. Here are the step-by-step instructions, along with a downloadable version of the tutorial, too.
Skill Level: Novice
Time: 10 to 15 minutes
Cost: About $90
Tools and Materials
- 22-in. wreath (real or artificial)
- 28-in. wreath (real or artificial)
- 60 ft. wired ribbon
- Scissors
- Swag hook or ceiling screw hook
If you use other wreath sizes, you may need to adjust the measurements to the ribbon.
Step 1
Cut three ribbons approximately 5 feet in length.
Then, with the small wreath’s wire frame facing up, slip one end of a ribbon length through the frame’s rim, and knot it firmly.
Repeat with the other two ribbons, knotting at evenly spaced intervals around the wreath.
Then gather the ribbons together and knot at a point 15 inches above the center of the wreath.
Attach three ribbons approximately 6 1/2-feet in length to the larger wreath frame, knotting each one at evenly spaced intervals around the wreath.
Gather the ribbons together and knot at a point 20 inches above the center of the wreath. Knot at the ends of the hanger ribbons.
Step 2
Place the larger wreath on top of the smaller wreath, aligning the hanger ribbons.
The knot created by the hanger ribbons of the smaller wreath should be in the same plane as the larger wreath.
Gather the hanger ribbons of both wreaths and knot them 20 inches above the center of the larger wreath.
Trim the ends of the hanger ribbons above the top knot.
Step 3
Screw your hook into the ceiling and hang the wreaths from the top hanger-ribbon knot.
Tie a 4-foot ribbon length at the base of each hanger ribbon; fashion each into a classic bow or, for ease, use bow ornaments.
