If I have a drink I much prefer to have a straw to drink it out of. It’s even better if it has a lid. I may be *muffled noises* years old, but I still have a tendency to spill things if I’m not careful so it’s just best for everyone if my drinks are as spill proof as possible. It’s also good to adopt this habit if you’re going to take your beverages outside, to keep the bugs out. I have seen some jars for sell at the store with the straw and whatnot but I will always try to make my own if possible. These mason jar cups are easy to make.
You’ll need:
- Mason Jars
- Sharp Drill Bit (you know, straw sized)
- Metal Files
- Spray Paint
How To:
While running the glass jars through the dishwasher take your drill bit and drill holes through the middle of the lids. File in the holes to get rid of all the sharp edges. Lay out all the lids and seals and spray paint. Let dry. Put the lids on the jars, add an awesome straw and enjoy some awesome sweet tea or a smoothy!
