DIY Dishwasher Detergent

This recipe’s a bit more complicated their our usual DIY cleaning solutions, but it’s well worth the savings!

Here’s how you make it:

  1. Pour 1 pint of borax, 1 cup of washing soda, 1/2 cup of kosher salt, and 3 packs of unsweetened lemonade into a mixing bowl and whisk them.
  2. Put 10 drops of tea tree oil with 1/2 of distilled white vinegar into a cup, then slowly stir in the mixture into the dry ingredients.
  3. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays.
  4. Let them dry for 24 hours, then store the resulting pellets in an airtight jar.
