I made a couple of table runners (simply 1/3 the width of the table and long enough to drape on both sides) for my coffee and kitchen table. I’m super crafty, but when it comes to sewing or pretty much anything to do with fabric I hardly ever measure before hand so I always severely over estimate. Now I have more than two yards (probably close to three) of two different colors of burlap and I’m trying to figure out what to do with them. If push comes to shove I’ll tuck them away in my fabric basket and pull them out when I need them later, however I LOVE the look of burlap and want to do something super creative with it NOW! Here are some diy burlap tutorials I found while trying to figure out what I wanted to do. There’s a little something for everybody.
I love the box spring cover, but I’ll have to go buy more to do it …but you mark my words, it will get done. I love putting the “Est.” date on things and the Monogram sign is the perfect place for it. The rose bracelet is so unique and sure to get you some attention when you wear it. The burlap wreath is perfectly natural for any season and if you hid a little hook in there you could even hang something seasonally in the center. Have a great time playing with your burlap, I know I will!
