The home office is becoming quite the popular room. I know several families who look for homes where they have enough for each family member plus one so they can have their home office. But what do you do if you’ve already got your home and don’t have that extra space, or only a small one?
In this article they give you some tips on how to utilize your room for a home office, whether you’re sharing one or just want yours to be more organized.
If you don’t have a closet or you’re office is in the corner of another room, try using organizational bins. Creating freestanding storage is a great way to keep things organized and out of the way.
Create floor to ceiling shelving. This helps utilize space and by adding some mirror paneling on the backs you can make the space feel less cramped.
Putting your furniture on rollers can help you tuck them away when you’re not using them, and creates an easy task of bringing your work to you wherever you are in your office.
Two tables pulled together can make your space twice as big. Instead of wasting that wall space, try making your desk into a corner console instead. You can store often used supplies within arms reach.
Try making your home network wireless. With wireless printers, internet routers and mouses you can create an office virtually anywhere while having those things that you need such as the printer and router tucked away and hidden in the room.
If you don’t have a space specifically for the office, try using your dining room table. Couple this tip with tip #5 and you can quickly clean up for dinner or guests without too much hassle while still having a large space to work.
I hope these tips help you create a space that gets the job done!

As I have an own business, these offize organisation ideas are valuable for me, thanks for this great article! I especially like the thoughts about a wireless office as these technologies can indeed make your office look more tidy. In addition to that, one suggestion from my side would be to use a wall mail organizer to sort your mail traffic. Keep up the good work, I will regularly come back to look for updates.
