Crafting is fun whether you do it with a friend, kids or alone.
This great idea is simple enough to do with children, which is always a plus around the holidays.
Here is a list of the items needed:
- Pinwheel Macaroni-large & small, perhaps some smaller pointy pastas
- Craft glue – a good strong glue
- Wax paper
- White spray paint – glossy is best
- Glitter
- Sponge brush
- Ribbon or monofilament
You will want to lay out the macaroni to find the different patterns you like best, then glue them. Be sure to lay them on wax paper and gently move them occasionally so they adhere to the paper.
Once dry, put a few thin coats of glossy white spray paint on the snowflakes, again move them gently so they don’t stick to the wax paper.
Dilute the glue slightly with water and using the sponge brush on lightly, then sprinkle with glitter. Let try, attach the ribbon and you have made a snowflake!
Use them as Christmas tree ornaments, package decorations or tie on the neck of a wine bottle being gifted.
