There is nothing more disappointing to children at Christmas than after opening the most amazing gifts, they can’t be played with or used because batteries aren’t included. Be a smart shopper and an awesome gift-giver by including batteries with your gifts. Take a look at the box the items comes in and it will plainly indicate if the batteries are included or if you need to purchase them.
Another way of making Christmas a pleasant surprise is to be sure you have stocking stuffers, if you are putting up stockings. Some ideal items for stocking stuffers are batteries, toothbrushes, candy, key chains, flashlights, matchbox cars, chap stick, just to name a few.
It can be quite frustrating if you are in the midst of a mad frenzy to get gifts wrapped and there is a mound of paper and no tape. Be sure to stock up all of the supplies needed, like box, ribbon, gift boxes and tissue paper.
When preparing for the Christmas dinner be sure to get as accurate a headcount has possible so there is plenty of everything. Keep some of the nicer disposable tableware on hand just in case distant relatives or friends decide to stop by at the last minute. Buy more sodas and drinks than you think you will need as there will be lots of eating and talking which will in turn mean lots of drinks required.
