In a recent study, the best (and worst) foods for pain were listed. Some of the foods will come as no surprise (garlic, onions, broccoli, raspberries, and others) while a few have benefits that may cause you to rethink conventional thought.
One such product is milk. A study in Iowa of 30,000 women discovered that those who consumed a high level of Vitamin D had a lower risk of rheumatoid arthritis than others. It is thought that Vitamin D many have some very beneficial anti-inflammatory effects on the body.
It was no shock to find that Sugary Drinks, Gluten, and Red Meat topped the list of Bad Pain Foods, but the reasons for these are quite varied.
In the end there are many foods which can help the body when pain strikes. Though food alone cannot solve the problem completely, by taking note of which foods are most beneficial and which are most harmful, you can at least work with your body in the fight against pain.
