A Little Detoxification and Relaxation to Boost Your Health

A Little Detoxification and Relaxation to Boost Your HealthIn this environment our bodies are subject to more toxins than they used to be.  They’re every where, literally.  They cause irritation, harm and destruction to the body if left unchecked.    One way to remove these is detoxification.  Detoxification is a way for the body to remove these dangerous compounds.  The body does this naturally.  However the body’s capacity is not endless and sometimes needs help.  By encouraging your body to flush out toxins efficiently we can boost our health and strengthen our immune system to prevent disease.

The more toxins we are exposed to, the more help our body needs to eliminate these.  Unfortunately the list of items that can contain toxins is virtually endless.  While it is impossible to remove all toxins our body is exposed to, we can improve our body’s efficiency and ability to eliminate them.

A detoxification bath is one of the easiest ways to help our body with its natural detoxification process.  The skin is the best way to pull the toxins out.  Typically your toxins can be pulled out through the skin’s sweat.  Most detox baths use Epsom Salt, also known as magnesium sulfate, which has many health benefits.

How to draw a detox bath:

For a standard tub, use two cups Epsom Salt- use more for a bigger tub

Add 1 cup baking soda to bath water that isn’t filtered –this neutralizes any chemicals in the water

Climb in bath and cover all the way up to your neck- as much as you can

Soak for 20 minutes- you want your body to stay in the water so close your eyes and relax

Rinse in cool water.  Tip: rise slowly and cautiously, you may feel dizzy or light headed

Once dry apply natural moisturizer. –No lotions with perfumes, dyes or chemicals

Rest for a while after taking your bath

Do not eat immediately before or after taking a detox bath.

Don’t use any soaps or shampoos while rinsing off.  Your pours are open and will absorb any of the chemicals found in those products.

When waste from your body builds up we can get sick and toxins have been linked to many of today’s modern diseases such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Heart disease, Chronic fatigue syndrome, cancers, autoimmune diseases, food allergies, arthritis, digestive diseases just to name a few.   Doctors recommend a 20 minute detox bath daily, and suggest you do this right before bed.
