If you need some ideas in deciding to replace, repair or cover a broken tile in a room, this article will help.

The homeowners came up with some creative ways to beautify a few blemishes in their bathroom tile.  But these ideas can be used in any room with tile.  Because some fixtures had been “permanently” adhered to their tiled wall, like towel bars and a soap dish, when removed, there were ugly damaged spots left in full view of all who visited the bathroom.

After some lengthy consideration, the homeowners decided to use some wide trim molding to hide the residual effects of removing the towel bar, and interestingly, they decided to create a shelf to cover the damaged spot where the soap dish was.

An added bonus here is they elaborate on the whitewashing method used to paint the shelf to compliment the room.
