 Home Projects

I don’t know about you, but once you DIY you just can’t stop.  It starts out small, just like any addiction, first you spray paint an old bookshelf, then you find yourself re-purposing a couple of things here and there and before you know it you’re getting the itch and looking at everything in your house to see how you can improve them.

Here is a great list of 30 projects that are worth looking into that you can complete in a weekend and will help you feed that itch any time you can feel it starting up again.

  • Install beaded board
  • Add storage to your entry
  • Paint your front door
  • Reorder your recharging station
  • Dress up your light fixtures
  • Create a flagstone patio
  • Add molding to your room
  • Paint or paper your wall
  • Update your hardware on your drawers and cabinets
  • Paint your ceiling
  • Put in energy saving windows
  • Make your fireplace more efficient
  • Install a shelving combination display
  • Patch holes in the wall
  • Hang a medicine cabinet
  • Install a ceiling fan
  • Install a new faucet
  • Add embellishments to your railings
  • Install light dimmers
  • Replace your showerhead
  • Redo your backsplash
  • Replace an appliance
  • Add a band new light fixture
  • Swap out your sinks
  • Replace interior doors
  • Swap out cabinet door inserts
  • Upgrade your flooring
  • Dress up your fireplace

Some of these are getting me thinking.  If we weren’t about to move I’d start in on a few of these as soon as I could.  Hope you have fun with these projects!

It is so funny that I ran across this article today because I was actually cleaning the house and thinking about what I could do to make some small changes. You have given me more ideas than even what I came up with and my husband is going to be so mad when he sees me start remodeling things like the cabinets. I had no idea you could swap inserts.

These are some great ideas I am going to start shopping for tile as soon as possible for my entry way because I have some cracked ones anyway. I am going to show this to my husband as well because there are some honey do projects that he needs to complete that are on this list. Thank you for the information and the ideas.
