3 Ways to Make Your Home to Feel "Homey"

January 9, 2013 By vdodson Leave a Comment

No one likes their home to feel cluttered, however on the flip side it’s unappealing to walk into a home that is too staged as well.  How do you achieve this?  The solution is easy.

  1. Grab some house plants- real ones, fake plants tend to look tacky and collect dust.
  2. Mix your woods- though this was a fashion no-no in the past, mixing woods can save your room from looking dated.
  3. Hang original art work- whether it’s a finger panting from your favorite three year old or something that appealed to you from your local home goods store, hanging art work can add warmth to any home.

Though these aren’t the only things you can do to warm up your home, starting here is a great way to set you in the right direction.
